Generative AI for Healthcare and Life Sciences on AWS

Abstract: 

The impact of AI/ML in life sciences is undeniable. There have been countless advancements in ML which have led to breakthroughs in drug discovery and clinical development. For instance, Generative AI powered by Foundation models (FMs) today claim to predict properties of molecules like their structure, bonding affinity, and toxicity with high accuracy. It can also generate summaries and accurate responses to domain specific questions making researches more efficient. While this has generated a lot of hope for the future, it’s important to keep in mind that adoption of these technologies in real world pipelines is still a challenge for a majority of life sciences organizations. In this session, we will separate the hype of using Generative AI in life sciences and focus on its promise. We will look at how organizations running on AWS are successfully applying these technologies in their own initiatives and highlight AWS services that help them do this at scale.
